Ijen Crater, Banyuwangi, East Java, Indonesia

Introduction

Ijen Crater is a crater of active volcano located in Banyuwangi Regency, East Java, Indonesia.
Ijen Crater is one of famous tourism destinations in East Java. Blue Fire is one of the main distinction of this tourism destination since in this world there are only two Blue Fire, one in Iceland and the other one at Ijen Crater. One-kilometre-wide turquoise-coloured acidic crater lake, combined with the scenic view of either sunrise or sunset colors, creates the gorgeous nature landscape scenery to be captured using the best camera being brought. It takes at least 2 hours hike to the top, after midnight hike is the most favourite option to see the Blue Fire and sunrise. Afternoon hike for the sunset option. Sulfur miners carry 75-90 kg load of sulfur from the crater is the other great activity to be seen.
